Avi Kochva is a former Deputy CEO and Chief of Innovation at Bank Hapoalim. He established this new division at the bank and was responsible for constructing and executing a 5-year strategy plan for a new banking era based on state-of-the-art technologies, Digitization, Big Data, AI and more.

​

After 7 years as a management board member at Bank Hapoalim, Avi is now a CEO at Avnon Emirates, Co-CEO at HIVE2040 and an Executive Director at WeChainBlocks. 

​

Prior to that, he was the global CIO of Bank Hapoalim and a member of the Board of Directors at Isracard. Before coming to Bank Hapolim, Avi was a global account manager at HP, responsible for a global account in the defense sector. Earlier, he established a start-up company in the IT infrastructure arena.

​

Avi began his career with the IDF. During 27 years of service and leadership, he developed edge-cutting systems, led operations, strategic planning and execution and promoted innovation. His last position in the IDF was the Commander of MAMRAM (Central Computer Center) with the rank of full Colonel.

Avi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Bar-Ilan University, and a Business degree from the University of Derby. He is a graduate of the TIM Senior Management Program at the Technion.
