Elik Etzion is a Cybersecurity and IT specialist with more than 25 years of hands-on and management experience in various domains including information security and data analytics.
He was Global Chief Information Security Officer of Bank Hapoalim Group, Israel’s leading financial institution, where he was responsible for all aspects of cyber security for the bank, its subsidiaries and overseas activity, including innovating with Israel’s Cyber & Fintech startup ecosystem and affecting national cyber security agencies and regulators.
Prior to joining Hapoalim, he served in the IDF’ elite technology & intelligence Unit 8200 in several senior positions, leading cyber R&D and special operations.
Elik has extensive experience in the financial services sector and is currently a board member of SHVA, Israel’s credit card processor, a public company traded on TASE. He also held the Chair for the Board of Directors of Masav, Israel’s automated banking clearing house.
Elik is a judging committee member of the notable SINET 16 award of the worldwide Security Innovation Network organization.
He holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science (summa cum laude) and an MBA, both from Tel-Aviv University.
