NATALY TAVOR

Nataly has over 20 years of experience in managing large budgets, fundraising and promoting R&D projects. She is a retired IDF Lieutenant Colonel and served in the Directorate of Defense Research & Development (DDR&D), a joint body of the Israeli Ministry of Defense and Israel Defense Forces that promotes R&D and innovation for the Defense community, where she held executive positions, dealing with strategic budget planning, management and contracting for the Ministry of Defense.

 

In 2013 Nataly was appointed the Israel Missile Defense Organization (IMDO) representative in Washington DC, where she worked with US DoD and the Missile Defense Agency to promote US-Israel cooperative BMD programs. Together with the Israeli Ambassador to US and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nataly worked with US Congress, the White House, AIPAC and military industries to promote multi-billion fundraising for the Iron Dome and other cooperative missile defense programs.

 

Prior to her retirement, Nataly led the R&D planning and economics department at DDR&D, where she was responsible for budget strategic planning, allocation and execution for MoD innovation programs, including in such fields as AI, robotics, cybersecurity, life sciences, etc.

For her contribution to the Defense of Israel Nataly was awarded the Israel Defense Prize (as a part of IMDO group).

 

Currently Nataly is a Business Development and Strategy lead at SmartGen Ltd. – an investment and consulting company, which also runs Family Office for its HNWI clients.

In this capacity, she promotes SGF, including collaborations and fundraising activities and evaluation of investment opportunities.

 

Nataly holds a B.A. in Economics and Management from Technion, the Israel Institute of Technology and an M.B.A. from Tel Aviv University.
